Volleyball Recap: Blue Mountain Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Blue Mountain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Pottsville Crimson Tide. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crimson Tide this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

Blue Mountain started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 10-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-15.

Pottsville was led to victory by Megan Yost and Ava Schwartz. Yost had 17 digs, two aces, and one block, while Schwartz had 16 kills, 11 digs, eight blocks, and two aces. Yost has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 16 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Rhyan Brenna, who had ten digs, six kills, and one block.

Blue Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Pottsville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Blue Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pottsville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Our Lady of Lourdes Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
