Softball Game Preview: Burgin Bulldogs vs. Danville Admirals

Burgin hasn't had much luck against Danville recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Admirals at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Burgin is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Thursday. They lost 8-2 to Danville Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against Lincoln County, falling 21-3.

Danville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazelynn Doneghy, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Madilyn Derry also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen bases of the season.

Burgin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Danville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Burgin took their win against Danville when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-4 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Admirals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
