It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Kerman had no problem doing just that on Friday. They put the hurt on the Tulare Western Mustangs with a sharp 41-20 win. Kerman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Adrian Torres out in front who threw for 274 yards and five touchdowns while completing 77.8% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Torres has posted since back in August. Jorge Antunez helped Torres out on the ground, rushing for 106 yards and one TD on only 14 carries.
When it comes to explaining why Tulare Western lost, don't look at Preston Seechan. Despite the final result, he rushed for 174 yards. Seechan's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 135 rushing yards.
Kerman has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Tulare Western, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-5.
Looking ahead, Kerman will head out to take on Wasco at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten matchups. Tulare Western does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
