Basketball Recap: Blue Ridge Early College Skates Past Shining Rock Classical Academy with Ease

Blue Ridge Early College not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since December 4, 2024 (when they won 56-27). They took their game with ease, bagging a 62-35 win over the Shining Rock Classical Academy Falcons. The Bobcats pushed the score to 47-26 by the end of the third, a deficit the Falcons had little chance of recovering from.

Brooklyn Kenney went supernova, going 14-for-30 on her way to 34 points. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenzie Woods, who posted 20 points.

Katylou Bolton and Alicia Ledford certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Bolton had ten points, while Ledford earned ten points. Maya Haynes was another key player, putting up eight points.

The victory got Blue Ridge Early College back to even at 1-1. As for Shining Rock Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blue Ridge Early College will challenge Hayesville at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Shining Rock Classical Academy, they will square off against Nantahala at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. The Falcons are facing the Hawks at the right time seeing as the Hawks are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
