Softball Recap: South Point Comes Up Short

After flying high against Huss on Tuesday, South Point came back down to earth. The Red Raiders lost 19-3 to the Crest Chargers on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

South Point saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Bridges, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

South Point's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Crest, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. South Point is set to square off against their familiar foe North Gaston at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Crest will take on rival Huss at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
