Volleyball Recap: Murrieta Valley Takes a Loss

Murrieta Valley's tournament run continued when they took on Colony on Saturday. The Murrieta Valley Nighthawks fell just short of the Colony Titans by a score of 2-1.

Korbin Wilson paced Murrieta Valley's offense, picking up 13 kills. Wilson got some help from Jedi Malaambo and his 18 assists. Wilson also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Matthew Casey, racking up three apiece.

Murrieta Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Colony, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Murrieta Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Perris on the 1st. As for Colony, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Indio on the 1st.
