Baseball Game Preview: Argenta-Oreana Bombers vs. St. Teresa Bulldogs

Argenta-Oreana is 2-7 against St. Teresa since May of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Bombers will welcome the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. Argenta-Oreana is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.3 runs per game this season.

Argenta-Oreana couldn't beat Warrensburg-Latham on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Bombers took a 13-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cardinals. While the Bombers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 4-0 in the first period.

Landon Jackson was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Finch, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double.

Meanwhile, St. Teresa had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Bluejays.

St. Teresa's win bumped their record up to 13-9-1. As for Argenta-Oreana, their loss dropped their record down to 16-10.
