Football Recap: Academy for Classical Education Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Academy for Classical Education lost against Washington County back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gryphons fell 27-21 to the Golden Hawks. The Gryphons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Academy for Classical Education still got an impressive performance from Brayden Vincent, who rushed for 116 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 68 yards.

Academy for Classical Education's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Washington County, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-5.

Academy for Classical Education and Washington County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Gryphons see the field they'll take on Fitzgerald at 7:30 p.m. on the 14th. As for Washington County, their break will end when they face Dublin at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th.
