Basketball Game Preview: Graceville Tigers vs. Poplar Springs Atomics

The Graceville Tigers will challenge the Poplar Springs Atomics at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Graceville will be strutting in after a win while Poplar Springs will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Graceville turned things around against Sneads on Friday. They strolled past the Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 45-27.

Meanwhile, Poplar Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 45-32 defeat to Paxton.

Graceville's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8. As for Poplar Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Graceville was able to grind out a solid win over Poplar Springs in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, winning 61-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Graceville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
