Basketball Recap: Crescent Starts Season with Victory Against GREEN Upstate

Crescent had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the GREEN Upstate Owls, posting a 57-25 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

Crescent found their leader in sophomore Philip Deveaux, who shot 41% from the field en route to 16 points and six steals. Another player making a difference was Owen Woods, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

GREEN Upstate's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Crescent wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-56 loss against Liberty on the 22nd. As for GREEN Upstate, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-28 defeat against West-Oak on the 22nd.
