Volleyball Game Preview: Pope John Paul II Knights vs. Father Ryan Irish

Pope John Paul II is 0-10 against Father Ryan since September of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Knights will head out on the road to take on the Irish at 5:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Pope John Paul II lost 3-0 to Christ Presbyterian Academy on Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-10.

Meanwhile, Father Ryan faced Lipscomb Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Irish fell 3-1 to the Mustangs.

While Father Ryan had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 17-25, 25-20.

Pope John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Father Ryan, their loss dropped their record down to 12-5.
