Football Recap: Graves County Comes Up Short

Graves County lost against Owensboro back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles were outmatched by the Red Devils and fell 49-14.

It was another big night for DaMarcus Ganaway Jr, who threw for 273 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 36 yards and one TD for Owensboro. Kingston Dillard was another key receiver, picking up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Graves County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Owensboro, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Graves County is set to square off against their familiar foe Madisonville-North Hopkins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Owensboro will take on rival Apollo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
