Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Bulldogs vs. New Diana Eagles

Jefferson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the New Diana Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Jefferson was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into New Diana's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-14, 26-24.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Diana to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chloe Green, who had 15 digs and six kills. With that strong performance, Green is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game. Taryn Reece was another key player, getting 14 assists and nine digs.

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 11-21. As for New Diana, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-16 record this season.
