Fruita Monument is 6-1 against Rampart since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Fruita Monument Wildcats will take on the Rampart Rams in a tournament on Friday. Fruita Monument will be strutting in after a win while Rampart will be coming in after a loss.

Fruita Monument is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Thursday. They skirted past Ponderosa 4-2.

Carson Hines looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Blake Elsberry, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Rampart kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They lost 12-6 to Grand Junction Central.

Rampart saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cash Carpio, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Vince Carpio was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Fruita Monument took their victory against Rampart when the teams last played back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 8-1. Does Fruita Monument have another victory up their sleeve, or will Rampart turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
