Basketball Recap: Grand Prairie Comes Up Short

After flying high against Adamson last Saturday, Grand Prairie came back down to earth. The Gophers took a 36-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wilmer-Hutchins Eagles on Thursday.

Among those leading the charge was London Wrighting, who posted 16 points. Those 16 points gave her a new career-high. Janessa Kuti was another key player, putting up nine points.

Grand Prairie's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Grand Prairie didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-41 defeat against Seagoville on the 14th. As for Wilmer-Hutchins, they have also already played their next contest, a 45-35 loss against University on the 14th.
