Basketball Recap: 21st Century Charter Picks Up Tenth Straight Win on the Road

21st Century Charter extended their road winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Terrence Hayes. The 21st Century Charter Cougars claimed a resounding 81-40 win over the Calumet New Tech Warriors thanks in part to Hayes, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 13 boards. He has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Jamarion Kelly, who posted eight points. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Calumet New Tech lost on Monday, don't look at Johnny Hudson. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

21st Century Charter's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Calumet New Tech, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.

21st Century Charter will face off against Father Tolton at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Calumet New Tech, they will square off against Lake Station Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
