Basketball Game Preview: Westland Cougars vs. Marion-Franklin Red Devils

The Westland Cougars will challenge the Marion-Franklin Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Westland is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Dublin Scioto on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Westland was dealt a 67-21 loss at the hands of Dublin Scioto. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-13.

Meanwhile, Marion-Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 67-45 to Briggs.

Marion-Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Westland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-16.

Westland strolled past Marion-Franklin in their previous meeting back in November of 2018 by a score of 52-36. Will Westland repeat their success, or does Marion-Franklin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
