Soccer Game Preview: Catholic Central vs. Fairbanks

Catholic Central is 1-7 against Fairbanks since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Irish will host the Panthers at 5:30 p.m.

Catholic Central's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Northeastern. The win made it back-to-back victories for Catholic Central.

Chris Kagaruki and Liam Shay scored both of Catholic Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time since back in September, Fairbanks was forced to settle for a draw on Saturday. Neither they nor Jonathan Alder could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Catholic Central's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-9-1. With that draw, Fairbanks' record moves to 11-3-2.
