Hanahan had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the three-goal drubbing they dealt North Charleston on Tuesday. The Hawks' defense stepped up to hand the Cougars a 3-0 shutout. Hanahan might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

The win was the fourth in a row for Hanahan, bringing their record up to 9-6. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four contests.
