Pulaski County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Wayne County Cardinals. The Maroons haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Pulaski County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kade Hargis, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. Those two hits gave Hargis a new career-high.

Looking ahead, Pulaski County will head out on the road to challenge Whitley County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. We've got a battle between Cardinals coming up.
