Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophia Salinas and Emma Hart Lead St. David to Victory

St. David entered their tilt with Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Sentinels with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. David was: they took every set by at least 16 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-9, 25-7.

St. David was led to victory by Emma Hart and Sophia Salinas. Hart had 22 assists and 16 aces, while Salinas had four aces. Hart has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last nine times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: St. David was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 31 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matches.

St. David's record now sits at 16-18. As for Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

St. David wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against Fort Thomas on the 29th. As for Arizona School for the Deaf & Blind, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Valley Lutheran on the 28th.
