Volleyball Recap: Admiral Farragut Takes a Loss

The Admiral Farragut BlueJackets came up short against the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder on Thursday, falling 3-0. The BlueJackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Admiral Farragut was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19, 25-18.

Their offense was headlined by Eloa Gebrin and Tula Morin, who picked up four kills apiece. They got some help from Leila Bakken and her eight assists. Naomi McDowell controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Out-of-Door Academy found their leader in sophomore Isla Paterson, who had 24 digs and one assist. Paterson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Admiral Farragut now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Admiral Farragut will challenge Canterbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Sarasota Military Academy on the 12th.
