Soccer Recap: South Knox's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

After flying high against White River Valley on Wednesday, South Knox came back down to earth. The Spartans fell 4-2 to the Wood Memorial Trojans on Friday. One thing that didn't help South Knox's chances was the red card they were dealt courtesy of Tucker Mahan.

Collin Ellerman and Ross Holscher scored both of South Knox's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

South Knox moved to 8-4-2 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak. As for Wood Memorial, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

South Knox will look to defend their home pitch on Monday against Vincennes Rivet at 5:00 p.m. As for Wood Memorial, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pike Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
