Sparta typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday La Crosse Central proved too difficult a challenge. They came out on top against the Spartans by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-19, 19-25, 25-21, 25-16.

Kaitlyn Borge paced La Crosse Central's offense, picking up 13 kills. Borge got some help from Ellie Gillitzer and her 21 assists. Celia Christopherson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sparta's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Addison Kent, who had 32 digs and three assists, and Kadynce Erickson, who had 13 digs.

The victory made it two in a row for La Crosse Central and bumps their season record up to 14-12. As for Sparta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-12.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. La Crosse Central will square off against rival Aquinas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sparta is set to take on their familiar foe Onalaska at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
