The Bastrop Bears will face off against the McCallum Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Bastrop will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Anderson on Friday. The Bears put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-3 win. Considering the Bears have won eight games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ella Greisenbeck was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off ten hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Bastrop let Madison Perez and Lanie Coy run wild. Perez got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Coy went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Stephanick, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Bastrop kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They got five more hits than Anderson's also-impressive total of 11.
Meanwhile, McCallum waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They had just enough and edged out Richards School for Young Women Leaders 6-4.
Natalie Myrick made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Myrick was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lucy Grantham, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. Nichelle Floyd was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.
McCallum's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Bastrop, their win bumped their record up to 12-10-1.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bastrop hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383.
