It was a good run, but Niles Notre Dame unfortunately witnessed the end of their ten-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Marist RedHawks. If the Dons were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the RedHawks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20.

Niles Notre Dame's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 18-6. As for Marist, the win was the 18th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-1.

Coming up, Niles Notre Dame will host Benet Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marist, they will be taking part in a tournament against Southport at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the RedHawks surely won't give up without a fight.
