Volleyball Recap: Sacramento Adventist Takes a Loss

Sacramento Adventist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Valley Christian Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

While Sacramento Adventist ultimately came up short, they really made Valley Christian work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 26-24, 16-25, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Sacramento Adventist saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ryleigh Dexter had seven digs and six assists.

Sacramento Adventist's defeat dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-11.

Sacramento Adventist wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy on the 20th. As for Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Sacramento Country Day on the 17th.
