Todd County Central hasn't had much luck against Franklin-Simpson recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Todd County Central is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, Todd County Central came up short against Logan County and fell 6-2.

Olivia Weikel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits.

On the hitting side, Dakotah Gammon made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Merriweather, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Franklin-Simpson). They were the clear victors by a 19-6 margin over Russellville on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wildcats considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Allie Utley was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lilly Ferguson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.

The victory got Franklin-Simpson back to even at 9-9-1. As for Todd County Central, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
