Basketball Recap: Andy Pham's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Yerba Buena over Hill

Yerba Buena lost against Hill back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The game between the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors and the Hill Falcons didn't end well, with the Yerba Buena Aztec Warriors falling 63-44.

Yerba Buena's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Andy Pham, who posted nine points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Tran, who earned eight points.

Gurshan Singh was nothing short of spectacular for Hill: he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nicolas Huerta, who put up eight points in addition to eight boards and six assists.

Yerba Buena dropped their record down to 3-18 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Hill, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-15.

Yerba Buena has already played their next match (against Gunderson), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Hill has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against James Lick.
