Baseball Recap: Holy Cross Takes a Loss

Holy Cross managed to slip by Bethlehem the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Holy Cross lost 7-0 to Bethlehem on Friday. The match marked the first time this year in which the Cougars were not able to get on the board.

Holy Cross saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Manning, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Peyton McVey also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Holy Cross dropped their record down to 2-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Bethlehem, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holy Cross will head out to challenge Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bethlehem, they will venture away from home to face off against Kentucky Country Day at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
