On Saturday, the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs faced the Sapulpa Chieftains in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Lincoln Christian secured a 50-44 W over Sapulpa. The win was familiar territory for Lincoln Christian who now have four in a row.

Lincoln Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Payton Rea led the charge by scoring 12 points along with seven assists. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for her. Jayla Albert was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.

Sapulpa's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Riki Mcquarters, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds. The match was Mcquarters' fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Taylor Bilby, who scored 14 points.

Lincoln Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for Sapulpa, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.

Lincoln Christian and Regent Prep will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
