Football Recap: Magnolia Science Academy Comes Up Short

Magnolia Science Academy played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of the Southlands Christian Eagles. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-7.

Wyatt Kobal had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 85 yards and four touchdowns for Southlands Christian. Justin Hartley was another key player, picking up 19 receiving yards and one TD.

Magnolia Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southlands Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Magnolia Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Vista Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on the 16th. As for Southlands Christian, they have already played their next contest, a 47-0 victory against Legacy College Prep on the 3rd.
