Preview: Westchester Comets vs. Hamilton Yankees
The Westchester Comets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hamilton Yankees at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Westchester is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Westchester ended up a good deal behind Fairfax and lost 35-18.
Despite the loss, Westchester had strong showings from Landon Davis, who rushed for 74 yards and a touchdown, and Dawan Scott, who picked up 64 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Hamilton can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 28-0 win over University. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hamilton.
Among those leading the charge was Gino O'neal, who picked up 95 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Westchester has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Hamilton, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
Westchester was able to grind out a solid win over Hamilton in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, winning 24-13. Will Westchester repeat their success, or does Hamilton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
