Volleyball Recap: Harvest-Westminster Comes Up Short

Harvest-Westminster lost against Johnsburg two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warrior-Lions fell 2-0 to the Skyhawks. The Warrior-Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Harvest-Westminster was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Karis Meeker paced Harvest-Westminster's offense, picking up seven kills. Meeker got some help from Alexis Brokke and her ten assists. Jessica Vambute controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Harvest-Westminster's defeat dropped their record down to 17-14. As for Johnsburg, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-13.

Harvest-Westminster didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 loss against Aurora Central Catholic on the 28th. As for Johnsburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lisle on the 28th.
