Baseball Recap: Wellington Comes Up Short

Wellington's last matchup with Elyria Catholic could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Thursday. The Dukes lost 16-3 to the Panthers. The Dukes just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Wellington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Preston Cochran, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Elyria Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 15-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Wellington will square off against Lorain at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Elyria Catholic, they will challenge Westlake at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
