Volleyball Recap: University Trailblazers vs. Park Tudor Panthers
University was the 3-0 winner over Park Tudor when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Trailblazers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, University sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-21, 19-25, 15-8.
Brooke Henderson paced University's offense, picking up five kills. Henderson got some help from Nyla Blanding and her ten assists. Finally, Henderson was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.
Katie Sellers was the offensive standout of the contest as she had nine digs and one assist.
University has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Park Tudor, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8.
University wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 defeat against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter on the 30th. As for Park Tudor, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Herron on the 27th.
