Sylva Bay Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 60-27 win over the Newton County Academy Generals. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Generals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sylva Bay Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristen Rogers, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Rogers a new career-high. Cash Pickel was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 16 points and nine boards.

Coming up, Sylva Bay Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Kemper Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newton County Academy will be paying especially close attention to the Saints' game: after the Saints face off against the Rams, they'll take on Newton County Academy again at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
