Volleyball Recap: Derby Has No Trouble Against Whitney RVT + How To Watch

Derby had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Whitney RVT on Wednesday. The Red Raiders blew past the Owls 3-0. The Red Raiders not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2nd (when they won 3-0).

While Derby won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-20, 25-22.

Shea Gray paced Derby's offense, picking up 13 kills. Gray got some help from Melanie Fearon and her nine assists. Skylah Clarke controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Derby's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Whitney RVT, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Derby will be playing in front of their home fans against Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Whitney RVT does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
