Manzanola was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hanover Hornets 3-2. This was payback for the Bobcats, who suffered a 3-2 defeat the last time these two teams met.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-100) Manzanola actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 26-24, 25-21, 22-25, 15-6.
