Baseball Game Preview: Morgan Huskies vs. Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties

The Morgan Huskies will square off against the Mount St. Charles Academy Mounties at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Morgan will be strutting in after a victory while Mount St. Charles Academy will be coming in after a loss.

Morgan will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Hillhouse on Friday. Morgan blew past Hillhouse 21-4.

Jacoby Brown looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.

On the hitting side, Morgan got a massive performance out of Creighton Johnson, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave Johnson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dom Larabee, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Mount St. Charles Academy fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Salisbury School on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They came up short against the Crimson Knights, falling 13-4. The loss put an end to the Mounties' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount St. Charles Academy fell to 2-1. As for Morgan, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
