Football Game Preview: Grace Lancers vs. Santa Clara Saints + Official Tickets

The Grace Lancers will challenge the Santa Clara Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Grace has four straight victories, Santa Clara has ten straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Grace humbled Channel Islands with a 49-20 victory. The result was nothing new for the Lancers, who have now won four contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grace to victory, but perhaps none more so than RIley Williams, who threw for 366 yards and five touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Thanks to that big game, Williams is now up to 28 passing touchdowns on the season. Another back making a difference was Jake Williams, who rushed for 189 yards and one score while picking up 9.5 yards per carry.

Grace was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 150 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Santa Clara scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were dealt a 63-13 defeat at the hands of Del Sol.

Grace's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Santa Clara, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
