Rocky Ford has gone 9-1 against Alamosa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Meloneers will head out to face off against the Mean Moose at 4:00 p.m.

Rocky Ford came up short against La Junta on Thursday, falling 8-2. The Meloneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Alamosa got the win against Florence on Monday by a conclusive 15-6. The Mean Moose might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by nine runs or more this season.

Olivia Castillo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits.

At the plate, Araceli Molina was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Makissa Quinlan, who went 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Alamosa kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive contests.

Alamosa has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for Rocky Ford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Rocky Ford might still be hurting after the 12-2 loss they got from Alamosa in their previous meeting on September 9th. Can the Meloneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
