Basketball Recap: The Fletcher School Takes a Loss

The Fletcher School lost against Walnut Grove Christian back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons were dealt a 79-11 loss at the hands of the Christian Warriors.

Walnut Grove Christian was led to victory by Lucas Thomason and Jack Bonagura. Thomason dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 steals, while Bonagura shot 7-for-11 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double with 25 points and nine boards. Thomason is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ian Choate, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 16 points and five rebounds.

The Fletcher School's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

The Fletcher School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-26 loss against HOPE Academy on the 18th. As for Walnut Grove Christian, they will head out to face off against Gaston Day at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Christian Warriors will be up against the Spartans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
