Volleyball Recap: Smithtown East's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Smithtown East waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Bay Shore Marauders. The Bulls were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Marauders, so the Bulls were just returning the favor.

Skyla Sullivan paced Smithtown East's offense, picking up seven kills. Sullivan got some help from Rosemarie Remsen and her 13 assists. Remsen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Smithtown East's win bumped their record up to 7-1-2. As for Bay Shore, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Smithtown East wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Ward Melville on the 13th. As for Bay Shore, they will square off against Brentwood at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
