Basketball Recap: Ferndale Piles Up the Points Against Johnstown Christian

Ferndale won the last time they faced Johnstown Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. The Ferndale Yellow Jackets claimed a resounding 70-40 win over the Johnstown Christian Bluejays. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Ferndale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb Fenton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 boards. What's more, Fenton also racked up four assists, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. Chance Washington was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 18 rebounds.

Ferndale smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in eight consecutive matchups.

Ferndale's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Johnstown Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
