Volleyball Recap: Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falls Short of Coudersport in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Allegheny-Clarion Valley can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to Coudersport on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Allegheny-Clarion Valley of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2022.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 23-25, 25-21.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nichole Wingard, who had 14 assists and two aces. Wingard is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Malia Page was another key player, getting ten kills.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Wahlers, who had 15 digs and two aces. What's more, she posted four kills, the most she's had over her last five matchups.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Coudersport, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Allegheny-Clarion Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coudersport, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Port Allegany on the 23rd.
