Recap: Manor New Tech vs. Taylor Ducks
Manor New Tech suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 83-10 loss at the hands of Taylor. Manor New Tech has not had much luck with Taylor recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Taylor to victory, but perhaps none more so than Asia Zachary, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Aubriana Alderete was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with five steals.
Manor New Tech bumped their record down to 9-9 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.2 points per game. As for Taylor, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manor New Tech will challenge Smithville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Smithville is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. As for Taylor, they will head out on the road to take on La Grange at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as La Grange comes in on five and Taylor on 11.
