Basketball Recap: Lena-Winslow Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Lena-Winslow, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. Everything went their way against the Newman Central Catholic Comets on Monday as the Lena-Winslow Panthers made off with a 74-52 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lena-Winslow's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-7. As for Newman Central Catholic, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-12.

Lena-Winslow will venture away from home to take on Durand at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lena-Winslow is facing Durand at the right time seeing as Durand is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Newman Central Catholic, they will face off against Erie-Prophetstown at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newman Central Catholic will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: Erie-Prophetstown will have lost five straight heading into Wednesday's matchup.
