Basketball Recap: Lakeland Comes Up Short

Lakeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Wheatland Mules, falling 58-32. While losing is never fun, the Vikings can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 504th, while the Mules are ranked 117th).

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Wheatland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-2.

Lakeland will head out on the road to face off against Midway at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th. Wheatland has already played their next game (against Warsaw), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
