Gilbert came out on top against Williams Field on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Tigers skirted past the Black Hawks 12-11. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-13 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Hayley Joiner, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025. Somiya Bryant was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gilbert kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.

Gilbert's record is now 8-9. As for Williams Field, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Gilbert is taking a road trip to square off against Campo Verde at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Williams Field, they will take on Desert Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Black Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
